—————————————————-

I have written other times about that persistence of permanence that exists in objects and that has a kind of autonomy of fate that we want to believe is in our hands.

the story comes about the little yellow strainer that's been there, I don't know how long, ever-present, located on the waiting platform next to the utensils that more or less my spirit of order and classification, amalgamates them into that pseudo genealogy that goes through the nature of his task.

with a fracture and one of its already broken protrusions; losing some of its connector wires like neurons; making me remind myself every time I turn to it, that the cadence of the movement I must use, will be rewarded if I take it from the most extreme angle of its handle, gently moving it up and down (as taking advantage of that little fracture that will help the oscillation) and in that cadence, you can the sugar rain crown the dessert as a first winter frost, almost perfect ...

and in that stubbornness of his permanent presence, in the face of a generation of strainers that the consumerist offer presents to me and threatens their displacement, I realize that their deterioration runs parallel with the perfection of their task, contrary to what the laws of the wear, wear and pull...

because somehow his story also runs parallel to my life and that sense of permanence of what an object means, ends up being a tribute to the very history of pride and happiness of finding meaning in life through what is created.

just that ...
